I've just updated to a new Synology NAS which has many more features than my older Netgear sytems.

I'm not 100% sure about opening the NAS up to the outside world but it's possible I may want to at some point in the future.

If I'm just using the NAS for local access I dont need HTTPS and SSL certs but I would like to have them set up and to do this I need a FQDN (fully qualified domain name).

Has anyone done this (or does anyone have any thoughts on how to do this ) using an existing domain and a Cpanel and sub-domains, redirects or ?

Thanks
SB

Apologies, my notifications need updating as I didn't get alerted to this post.

I haven't done this myself but let me see if I can find out anything useful.

I'll circle back when I have more.

Cheers,
Jason
