The past few days I've been inundated with these types of failed delivery messages. Obviously they're not originating from me, so is there any way to stop this? Do I need to change the password for this email account or what? I've included attachments to show what I mean.

Thanks,
Stuie

I would definitely suggest changing your mailbox and cPanel passwords right away.

I do see several emails frozen in the mail queue that appear to be spam originating from that account.

Was the password on that mailbox complex?

stuie

No it wasn't. I just now changed the password for both the cpanel and my email address. I hope this helps, but we shall see.

Sounds good, thanks.

It's definitely necessary to use complex and unique passwords for every system and website you access these days.  I recommend using password management software like Keepass.

It seems that the changing of the password has stopped all the mail delivery messages. Whew, that was getting tiresome. I downloaded a password management software that I haven't installed yet called https://lastpass.com/. Let me know if you heard anything about this one.

I haven't used lastpass personally but I've heard from numerous customers who do that like it.

They had some sort of security issue in 2011 but I don't know all the details:

Might I suggest an offline option such as Keepass or 1Password.

As Jason stated, LastPass did have a security breach and that to me screams avoid, even though they've patch security holes.

Thanks, I haven't loaded LastPass yet, but after looking at the last 2 mentioned, I'm leaning to 1Password. Once again thanks to your response.
