Hi Jason, I mentioned this in that other topic, but I didn't want to steer it off course so I'm creating a new topic. ;)

Anyways, I'm having issues sending e-mails. I can retrieve e-mail fine, but I can't send. Any idea what this might be? I should note that I haven't changed anything in Outlook.

Jason

Is outlook providing an error message by chance?

Mark

I can't copy and past ther error, but it's basically saying that the connection is timing out when connecting to the SMTP server.

Jason

Ok, we're looking into this now for Hurricane.

Jason

We can't find anything abnormal with the mailserver on hurricane.  Are you still seeing this?

Mark

Well, no, it seems to have gone through. But, just in case I sent a test e-mail to my Gmail account from the account in question and even though Outlook didn't error out the email never made it to my Gmail inbox.

Mark

I just tried again and it's timing out again. I am however, able to send email from Outlook using my work account and Gmail account just fine.

akheir

I am having a similar problem with a client.

Ok, investigating further.

If you have specific error messages or accounts involved, please email them to me.

Thanks

akheir

That is the annoying thing - no error!:)

Just won't send - timesout eventually.

Can you send me an account in question?  (Or is it all of them on that domain you mentioned?)

Mark

For me, it's just my somesecretplace.com e-mail and that's the only POP account I have.

akheir

For my client - it is all accounts.

Ok, can you both try again now?

Mark

It took a little longer than usual (not much longer) but I *think* it sent. I e-mailed you, so if you get it, let me know. ;)
