Title: Alertra Monitoring Service added :: April 11, 2005
Post by: Jason on April 14, 2005, 09:16:54 PM
As of 4/11/05, we've added Alertra as another monitoring service (on top of Hyperspin and the ones used by our support).  Alertra will automatically call my cell anytime any of our servers don't respond within 5 minutes to avoid any preventable outages.

Furthermore, it will test the servers every 5 minutes, 24 hours a day, from multiple locations around the world.  If one encounters a problem, the others will try to hit it to make sure it's not a false alarm.  For more "how it works" info, please click here (http://www.alertra.com/howitworks.php).

I will shortly provide a stats page where you can view uptime logs recorded by this service.  This should further our ability to maintain the highest service levels possible for everyone.

Regards,
Jason

As an update, there is now a board on the forum where you can view our weekly Alertra monitoring stats to see how well your server is performing.
