Title: Theme Bug at CW
Post by: Knu on May 22, 2009, 06:57:21 AM
Hi Jason,

There is some weirdness with the tabs on the Unread Post and New Replies pages. Apart from being broke, they appear to be from the SMF 1.x.x Babylon theme. Mind you, I'm not used to this theme, so maybe I have this wrong. There are definitely missing images for the tabs though.

Thanks -- I'll take a peek when I get a few mins.

I've been thinking about a switch up (theme-wise) anyway.  Have any suggestions?

Any preferences here?

http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?action=tpmod;themegallery=view;design=81

or

http://demo.dzinerstudio.com/  (Urban for 2.0 with color changes)

I'm going to install one now to see if it's usable.

Meanwhile, post any suggestions -- I've been interested in switching up the theme here for awhile now  :D

-Jason

I like this one. Very crisp and clean looking!

The problem is that it doesn't appear well supported.  I'll take a look again.

I intalled another theme last night I may play with for a few days.  The good news is that more and more 2.x themes are being released now that it's public so there's a lot more to choose from.

I like the Urban theme! Don't really like the other one though.

I like that one too.  Might be worth a color change and some minor revisions.

I'll keep looking...

I installed Silent Wave here and it works (functionality wise) but also would need some color changes.  I think the built in menu system on the Urban one would be nicer for linking back to Charlottezweb and our other useful sites (server status, etc.)

Hi Jason,

Just a heads-up in case this slipped your mind: the missing tabs are still missing. ;)

It's still on my to-do list :D

There's a good chance I'll replace the theme before I try to fix this one since there are some nice ones out there now.

I've installed a new theme but have a few more template changes to do before I convert everyone.   With any luck, I hope to get this done over the weekend.

Please remember the links to the Charlottezweb.com home page link!

I hate having to waste those extra few seconds to scroll to the bottom. :)

That's part of the hold up keeping me from releasing it now :)

If you (or anyone else) wants to preview the theme and submit feedback, let me know.  Functionally it's all done but I need to fix some template (graphic) issues before I make it everyone's theme.

Hmm, I got a blank page when I came on, then after a reload I'm seeing your default theme.

I just replied to your pm.  See if it works now -- if not, I'm basically done so I"ll switch everyone in a few mins.
