Title: July 14, 2009 :: Tsunami reboot
Post by: Jason on July 14, 2009, 05:45:03 PM
I'm talking with the datacenter now and our techs --

We're doing some testing with the NAS (our off-server network storage array).  We initiated a manual backup for Tsunami accounts about an hour ago and it froze midway.  This seems to be exactly what happened to Supercell on Fri/Sat and Monsoon yesterday.  (discussed here (http://www.charlottezweb.com/forums/index.php?topic=1315.msg6391#msg6391))

Now that I have the dc guru (admin) of their backend network and NAS online, I'm going to do a reboot of Tsunami while he's watching.

Right now Tsunami users can't access cPanel but sites are otherwise fine.  Normally I'd wait until late night to do the reboot but since I have the experts onhand, I'm making the judgement call to do it now.

I will update this thread if/when we do the reboot.  Thank you!

The reboot took less than 5 minutes and wasn't detected by our monitoring.  :)
