Greetings,
I will email this topic to all clients on Cyclone within the next hour tonight.
I have scheduled a reboot for tomorrow night (November 1) between 10pm and 11pm EST (about 26 hours from now) for our server Cyclone.
An issue arose yesterday that requires us to run some diagnostics on the operating system. This needs to be done during the boot up process.
Typically a reboot takes only a few minutes however running the scan may make this process take a bit longer.
If you have any questions, please post them here. I will keep this thread updated as the reboot progresses tomorrow evening.
Thank you,
Jason
Thanks for the advance warning on this.
Is it still on for the scheduled time. When you say "a bit longer", what can we estimate?
(Terri is looking over my shoulder as I write this, so you won't get any emergency posts! :D )
Thanks.
Dave
Hi Dave,
Yes, I'm still going to proceed with this tonight.
In terms of the time...it's hard to say. It's almost like running scandisk (if you're familiar with that in the Windows world). It's going to scan the integrity of the system files. I'm hoping it will take no more than 15 or so minutes but it's possible it may take longer.
I will be around the whole time and will keep you updated here with whatever I know.
If we find any problems during the scan, we'll determine the best course of action from there.
Regards,
Jason
I'd like to chime in with our "Thanks" too Jason.
The way you operate Charlottezweb is superior to everything we've had before.
We appreciate you very much~! 8)
Thanks!
Fyi...we're starting this shortly.
The server is being rebooted now.

Thanks again, Jason~! :-*

I'm not positive we're done yet. Waiting on confirmation.
Looks like that was all that was needed luckily. So roughly 2-3 minutes of a reboot for now.
Thanks
:) Thanks! It all went smooth for us!
Terri
There was a reboot? When did this happen? :)
I just received confirmation that the scan/fix did what we needed so the 2-3 mins last night should take care of the issue we needed to resolve.
Thanks everyone,
Jason
