Title: June 28, 2007 :: Savvis maintenance window, 9pm EST (30 mins)
Post by: Jason on June 27, 2007, 07:06:35 PM
A link to this thread was emailed to all clients tonight.

Thursday, June 28 at 9pm EST there will be a 30 minute maintenance window at the datacenter on the Savvis circuit.

What does this mean?

It means that part of our network connectivity (provided by Savvis) *may* be unavailable for up to 30 minutes tomorrow night.  This could impact all our servers except Thunder (which is in a different datacenter).

If there is an actual outage of that circuit, you may see slower speeds momentarily as Route Science at the datacenter reroutes traffic.  At worst case -- if there is an actual outage -- it should only be momentary because our network traffic gets automatically rerouted if one path is broken.

It's quite possible we may notice nothing if Route Science does its thing.

I'll update this thread tomorrow night once completed.

Regards,
Jason
