Title: Gmail and IMAP
Post by: Mark on November 19, 2007, 11:22:10 AM
Has anyone been using the IMAP feature for Gmail? I've been trying it out lately and I've been loving it! IMAP is my new favorite way to check e-mail. Granted I could just open a web browser to check, but I already have my Outlook open for work e-mail so it's a 2 birds one stone kind of thing. :P

This wouldn't happen to be available on our servers would it Jason?

I know it's been available for a few weeks now, but I was just bringing it up.

Also, did anyone notice that the space is now up to 5GB. That's a whole lot of space! :-X

Just imap in general?  Yes, cpanel has supported that for at least a few years I believe.

That's pretty cool though -- It just syncs similar to M$ Exchange but keeps your email on their servers, correct?

Yeah, that's the pretty much it. It's like Exchange in that you have webmail and desktop clients all synced up.

Hmm...yet another reason for me to move my email there...  (I've been debating it for a few months anyway)
