Image dl counts

I used to know a way to have a posted image let me know how many dl that image,

In this case I would like to have wallppaers counted. Some say a PHP, some say a JS.

You just want it to track/show how many people clicked (or saved) a file basically?

There's different ways you could do it depending on what you want the result to be.

For example, you could track it through the stats in your cpanel.

If you want the results displayed to the public, then you could do it a number of ways.  You could find a code-based solution that displays it on a thumbnail page or if you are displaying the wallpaper full size on its own page, you could just put a counter on that page using a script.  There are tons of web counter scripts out there depending on how you want it to work.
