As I've mentioned in a few threads before, our oldest server -- Hurricane -- is due for a well-earned retirement after almost 4 years of appreciated performance.  :)

Hurricane announcement thread - September 25, 2006

Whereas Hurricane is working great presently, we have much more powerful servers available presently and I want to move all accounts to our latest server pro-actively vs. waiting for something to fail down the road.

My target date for completion is July 18 which is just over 3 weeks from now.  I want to give everyone the option to select the best time/date for them.  We've done this exercise numerous times before and it's very simple and generally done without any downtime.

If you have questions, feel free to post them here.  Otherwise, I'll email everyone involved within the next day or two.

Thank you!

For the move, do we contact you via PM, E-mail or?

Jason

Any way works.  PM, email or ticket -- whatever you prefer.  :)

Jason

Thank you for those of you who have contacted me.  We've moved a good number of these accounts successfully already.

Reminder to everyone else -- this server will be shut off on July 18 -- just over a week from today.  For some of you, if I don't have access to your domain name, your site(s) will go offline at that time as I have no control to update your nameservers.

PLEASE respond to the email notices to make sure you're all set and feel free to ask questions.  Better safe than sorry!  :)

I will send another notice out to everyone in a few minutes.  Thanks

Jason

I've migrated the last of the accounts tonight in advance of tomorrow's shutdown.

I still haven't heard from some customers unfortunately.  If your site becomes unreachable as a result of incorrect nameservers and you find your way here, please open a support ticket so I can provide you with your new nameservers.
