Email sent to Thunder and Lightning clients on 5/25/2006:
-----------------------------------------

Greetings,

You're receiving this email because you're a Charlottezweb customer with a hosting account on our Thunder and/or Lightning servers.

These servers will have php upgraded to version 5 on the evening of Friday, June 2, 2006 (roughly a week from now).

Upgrading to this should have no impact at all to your site as it is.  It's been thoroughly tested for SMF, coppermine and most integrated scripts.  This should not require any outage or updates on your end.

I'm providing the advanced notice so that anyone with custom php scripting can make sure they're in compliance with php5 prior to the upgrade.

Please post any questions or concerns you have here.  I will update the thread when the upgrade is complete.

(Our server Cyclone was upgraded to php5 in January with no issues).

Thanks!

Regards,
Jason

I will begin the php5 upgrade within the next hour or two.  I'm waiting on one thing that may cause me to wait a day or two on Thunder, but I'll have confirmation on that shortly.  Lightning will definitely be upgraded tonight.

I will update this thread with news as I get it.

Thanks!

Jason

The upgrade has been completed on both servers.

All of our servers are now on php 5.

Please advise if you experience any issues.

Thanks,
Jason
