I'd like to welcome everyone that has been migrated from Lewis Media to Charlottezweb this evening!  I look forward to working with each of you and providing the same excellent level of hosting you've been accustomed to in the past.

All of your accounts have been transferred over to their new homes and you should've received an email from Lewis Media with the DNS info including a link to this thread.  You'll want to go ahead and change your nameservers with your registrar as soon as possible to avoid downtime when they power down their server.  If you have any questions on this, please let me know. 

In the meantime, I will be going through and emailing everyone individually regarding the signup for Charlottezweb hosting.  Some of you have accounts that are up for renewal now so I'll provide the necessary info so you can signup through this site to start your subscription here.  For those of you who are under contracts that Charlottezweb will be honoring, we'll be working out a different gameplan to make sure you get what you've already paid for.  These emails will be sent out by Saturday afternoon at the latest.  Should you require sooner access to your account, please email me for your login information.

In the meantime, I thought I'd provide a little background on Charlottezweb.  I started doing web design after college in 2000 and bought a few hosting accounts at that time.  As my client list grew, I got tired of managing hosting accounts for clients with different hosts -- many of them unrealiable -- so I moved into the reseller world so I could manage everyone easily.  As my needs grew, it made sense to stop reselling and to move to my own server which has resulted in far greater uptimes, resources and the ability to keep a FAR lower account number per server.  At that point, I started offering hosting to the public and that's what I've been doing ever since.

As far as support goes, feel free to post on the forum or email me on any issues that arise.  Any issues that I can't solve immediately will be passed to my techs.  I'm typically available between 7am-midnight on most days of the week.  I basically live online so you'll find me very easy to reach.  The server is monitored 24x7x365 so even when I'm not around, technicians are connected via pagers and cellphones if services are lost.  There is a ticketing system you can use as well located inside the client login area that you will be setup with later once I contact you individually.  However, most everyone emails me directly so whichever way you're more comfortable with is great.

Update:  January 27, 2005

I'd like to welcome the latest group of Lewis Media sites that have been moved to Charlottezweb tonight!

You're on our newest server:  "Lightning."  It's also a dual Xeon 2.4ghz, 2 gig ram, 2x 73gig scsi harddrive box (like our other server "Thunder").  Your sites should be operating at top speeds!

Lewis Media has probably emailed you already if you're reading this thread, but I will be emailing you all individually over the next several days to inform you about signup details with Charlottezweb.  In the meantime, their email should've instructed you of the Charlottezweb nameserver information that you'll need to change with your registrars as soon as possible to avoid any downtimes when the Lewis Media servers are powered down in the near future.
