Ideally an admin login and instructions to get there would be great.

Sorry I havent had time to look at this again until the weekend, so I sent you the login/password by email.  Just FYI

Got it.  However, the admin login doesn't appear to have admin rights.  :)

The Librarian

huh?  hang on, let me check that and I'll get back to you

The Librarian

ok, you are definitely admin now.  I did it on Saturday when I registered you but it didnt stick for some reason.  Looks ok now :)

It's working now and HOLY COW do you have a lot of mods installed!

Jason

I'm not able to get the 501 error.  When I try to save any change, it redirects me to a page that doesn't exist it seems.  As if the coding of the mod is wrong.

I looked at the mod page on SMF's site and it has a known error of how to install it manually if you get any errors during the mod install.  Did it successfully install with no errors when you did it?

I am using firefox and I get the message 'method not implemented' on the white page it takes you to but firefox says 501 method not implemented .

First time I installed it, no fails, but still got that 501 not implemented problem.  Second time I tested it, I got a modsetting.php fail which is common, fixed the file, and still got that error.

When I first installed this mod a few weeks ago it installed with no errors and I still go that problem (which is when I brought it up with mod author) and since then I have reinstalled everything (test forum) and this time I had to edit the modsettings.php file as per the mod instructions as it does fail if you have other mods, but either way, I still get that error which points to the server, and the Mod author says to talk to my host.

I was contemplating looking at the 'got problems with mod security' threads to see if maybe that might help

I do see it as a 501 error.  I'll have to figure out what that means as there could be multiple issues going on here.  Did you say you tried this mod by itself on a completely fresh install?

The Librarian

yes sorry, I did, the first time I installed it, had no fails, still got the same prob
The Librarian

Jason

Fixed -- it was a mod security setting like the first post from this thread.

The Librarian

cool, thanks Jason, I'll go check it out :)
The Librarian

The Librarian

yeah that's it all working now, thanks very much Jason.  :)
