MySQL and Apache will be updated sometime after 9pm EST on June 7th.

I expect less than 2-3 minutes of downtime (if that) to restart apache once patched.

I will update this thread once these updates are completed.  Thanks

Jason

Since you omitted specific servers, should one assume you mean all the servers will be updated?

And I guess it's gonna be minor updates?

Jason

This should impact all servers.  I'll go into more detail later but one is a security patch and the other is to stay current for the most part.

Yes, very minor.  We're not moving to MySQL 5 in other words.  :)

Update:  Thunder and Lightning are now up to date.

-----

Cyclone will be updated this coming Sunday evening -- June 25, 2006.

This will consist of multiple updates (cpanel, mysql, perl, apache) including a kernel upgrade.

The kernel update will require a server reboot which will result in typically around 2-5 minutes of downtime.  I will repost here once everything is done on Sunday.  We'll do it late to ensure the least amount of interruption as possible.

Regards,
Jason

edit:  Thunder and Lightning also require kernel upgrades.  They will be rebooted as well.  This should require 2-5 minutes of downtime as well.

I edited the post above just now:

Thunder and Lightning also require kernel upgrades and will be rebooted late Sunday night.  This should require 2-5 minutes of downtime for each server.

Jason

We will beginning the upgrades shortly.  I will update this thread once completed.
