I've upgraded plenty of WordPress installs over the years and they've all gone very smoothly.  I figured I'd give it an install tonight and see if it fits a project I'm working on.  So far so good.

- There are some nice theme options available and with any luck I'm hoping to be able to edit them easily.

- The admin area is easy to navigate and took all of 2-3 minutes to figure out

- The wysiwig editor seems sufficient but I haven't played with it a lot yet.

- The ability to add additional (static) pages is nice.  That was the main draw for me on this project.

We'll see how it goes.  I'll post an update as I proceed. ;)

Watch out for the WYSIWYG upload bug! - There is a fix, but it needs to be done manually.  :(

I haven't seen that yet.  Should I stick to posts in html?

akheir

No. :)

It is mostly a problem with the "Bad Behavior" module and the flash upload for media.

The flash upload causes issues, and it isn't fully compatible with all modules, so if you notice you can't upload in WYSIWYG anymore...

It is a tough one to track down if you don't know about it.  If you do, it is about 2 minutes to fix.

Ah, cool.  I suspect this site won't need a lot of plugins but I know where to go if I encounter that!  Thanks :)

Hi,

I see many Wordpress posts on a list I am on but never seen anything that akheir is reporting,

The thing I don't like since the upgrade is my chunks of code on one long line instead of nicely grouped on several lines.

Sounds like your having fun with your new toy Jason...keep up the good work. I must say I was grateful that upgrades are now automatic through the editor.
