Dec 8, 2010 :: Tempest - High loads

We're working on high loads that have been impacting our server Tempest for approx the past two hours.  The server is not down but is very slow to respond due to load.

I'll update this thread as we learn more.

As an update to this post, we restarted mysql on this server yesterday which cleared out some hung processes and restored normal functionality.

It seems like this started again in the past 10 minutes or so.  We're looking into this further now.

Loads returned to normal on their own shortly after this post.  We're going to keep an eye on this box for the next few hours and check the recent logs to see if this was just a hiccup or something related to yesterday's spike.
